Truetzschler & Voith at INDEX 2020: nonwovens based on cellulose
Truetzschler & Voith will focus on sustainable solutions.
Engineering companies will present solutions without the use of plastic.
At the INDEX, Truetzschler Nonwovens, Truetzschler Card Clothing and Voith will present new solutions for the production of a wide range of environmentally friendly nonwovens for napkins, hygienic and medical cloths.
Initiatives to ban plastic worldwide affect everyone: consumers, product developers, manufacturers of nonwovens and, finally, suppliers of equipment for the production of nonwovens.
Truetzschler Nonwovens and Voith solve the search for more environmentally friendly and affordable nonwovens in the napkin segment with the help of two proven technologies for the production of nonwovens based on cellulose.
- First, the WLS (Wet-Laid/Spunlaced) lines. There are only a few of them around the world, and they are mainly focused on the market of flushable wipes. At the INDEX, companies will present their latest baby wipes and body wipes nextLevel / WLS, a joint development of Voith and Truetzschler.
- Secondly, attention is paid to carding-pulp products. One CP line (card + cellulose), including the TWF-NCT carding unit located between HydroFormer and AquaJet, is already operating at full capacity at the customer's facility. Various CP materials, including innovative nextLevel/CP wipes, will be presented at the stand, and visitors will be invited to discuss the characteristics, advantages, concepts of the line and equipment.
